About
The Capability Collective LLC was founded by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst — a specialist in understanding and changing behavior — with years of direct experience working with children and families, including work as a service facilitator for a county waiver agency. That background has led to an understanding of not just child behavior, but the bigger picture surrounding your family and the systems you're navigating. As a working parent of two young children myself, I understand how busy life can get, and how impossible daily change can feel when you're already stretched thin. My goal with every family is to offer small, realistic changes to your daily routines, steps that fit into the life you're actually living, and that add up to a real improvement in your family's quality of life.Currently offering Caregiver Capability Sessions: direct, one-on-one support for parents and unpaid caregivers.
Caregiver Capability Sessions
Capability Sessions are one-on-one time with a provider, focused on you: your questions, your goals, your family. We start by identifying what you most want to change, then build a plan around it, with practical tools you can put to use right away. Each of the following topics is a 12-week series:
| Understanding & responding to behavior: | Decode what the behavior is telling you, and respond effectively |
| Understanding your child's diagnoses: | How they may experience the world, and how to adapt your approach |
| Routines & transitions: | How to build realistic, predictable routines |
| Communication & cooperation: | How to give directions that land, step out of power struggles, and improve dynamics |
| Emotional regulation: | What is happening to the brain during big emotions and how to help |
| Caregiver self-care & sustainability: | Take care of yourself so you can keep showing up for them |
Sessions are matched to the goal you bring in, you are not required to complete every module, and multiple modules can run sequentially based on need.
